This ending felt pretentious and flat. 2 stars only because Adlard's art is always serviceable.

might be the outlier for ranking this issue so highly but I did like the bait and switch at the beginning here, the opening goes so against the canon of the show I had to assume that we were fully diverging from the source material until the reveal. The focus on the inaccuracy of memory does also foreshadow the Mulder's own experiences of self-doubt later in the show
