Kevin Anderson is a far better IP writer than Charles Grant. It's a serviceable novel, it's entertaining, easy to read, and it doesn't break canon. Solid effort, 3 stars.

I was sure about this one at first, it seemed like the setting was a bit too far from the setting of the show. However it won me over but being well told and being peppered with these great character moments, such as Mulder seeing his watched has stopped an automatically assuming this is evidence of an alien abduction. I think it did a really good job of showing the spectacle with regards to the aliens without messing with the canon
