Mulder leaves to investigate a case alone, as Scully has an appointment with her oncologist for a follow-up. When Mulder doesn't return, Scully must pursue him into a town flooded with over 80 alien sightings in recent days, and the presence of tourists and press members will not help her do her job.

I didn't like this one, maybe it was because I came with somewhat higher expectations, having mostly enjoyed Petrucha's run on the Topps comic. I found it was written confusingly, had to reread a couple of sentences and paragraphs to understand what was going on, specially on the action scenes.

Really liked this one. Felt like it took place in the timeline. Mulder and Scully treat the investigation like a mundane routine affair, but it ultimately has a payoff that is werid and unique to what we have seen in the series.
I also like how we see why Scully "needs" Mulder in her work. We have had a few stories were its made apparent that Scully balances out Mulders more extreme theories and actions, but here we see that without Mulder Scully skepticism means that she quickly becomes bored of doing research and risks overlooking key clues.
also loved the discussion about humans tendency to be over-vigilant to identifying threats playing out as Scully starts to notice the deputy sitting a bit too close, being a bit too friendly and second guessing herself
